Greg Parry

Greg is the Co-Founder of Kingsgate International School and is the CEO and Co-Founder of Kingsgate’s education management company, Global Services in Education.. Internationally renowned for his expertise in education leadership, Greg Parry’s vast experience includes high-level positions with secondary and vocational institutions throughout Australia, the Middle East, the United States, India and China. A robust leader and dedicated educator, Greg’s various positions at these institutes of learning include: CEO, director, headmaster and consultant. Recognised for his numerous contributions in the education arena, Greg has received the Ministers Award for Excellence in School Leadership based on improvements in school performance and a range of successful principal training and leadership development programs, as well as the School of Excellence Award for Industry/School Partnerships and the School of Excellence Award for Technology Innovation.

Considered one of the premier experts in his profession, Greg has trained teachers and principals throughout the world in areas such as critical thinking, language development and leadership. His expertise in school start up projects, leadership and curriculum development, has made him a sought after authority in these disciplines.

Shanna Parry

Senior Managing Partner

Shanna is the Senior Managing partner of Kingsgate’s education management company, Global Services in Education. She is the Senior Education Director of Kingsgate International School. Shanna is renowned for outstanding achievements both as an educational leader and author of engaging, innovative curricula. Combining her passions for teaching, training and travel, she has since worked throughout the USA, Middle East, India and China serving as a director (Higher Education), headmaster (Secondary School) and consultant (K-12). Shanna brings a wealth of experience in a variety of critical areas.

In 2018 and 2019 Shanna was identified as top 30 in the Education category for Global Gurus among some of the worlds leading Education experts including Sir Ken Robinson, Eric Jensen, John Hattie and Robert J Marzano. Shanna continues to travel extensively to meet the demands for her consulting expertise in administrative and teacher development, curriculum writing and language programs. Shanna has consistently delivered exceptional results for increasing and improving student achievement in all key areas, including language development, reading proficiency and writing skills. In her role as Managing Partner of GSE and Director of Kingsgate International School, she plays a key role in the day-to-day operations of the school as well as pioneering creative models for other international schools and providing groundbreaking training methods for directors, administrators, teachers, and students.

Michael Ainscough

Principal

Australia

Michael hails from Adelaide, Australia and is the Principal at Kingsgate International School, Malaysia. 

He is an experienced and knowledgeable educator with thirty years of experience both as a Teacher/ Principal in Australia, United Arab Emirates, Singapore and Malaysia.
 

An advocate of the pivotal role that teachers play with students and parents in an International School setting, his area of expertise is in curriculum development and ensuring the vertical alignment across all year levels within the school. He is a passionate advocator of best teaching practices and loves sharing his wealth of knowledge with staff, parents and the general community. In his spare time, he enjoys camping, walking, reading and exploring other countries and cultures. 

Neoh Soon Ken

Chief Marketing Officer

A true blue Penangite and foodie, Ken dabbled in the film and broadcasting industry before finding his passion in education many years ago and has not look back ever since, spending more than one third of his life in the industry in a variety of leadership and management roles ranging from academia to corporate training, business development, branding, communications and marketing. His vast and progressive experience in cradle to grave education ranges across various education entities such as KDU Penang University College, Epsom College in Malaysia and St. Joseph’s Institution International School Malaysia before his present role with Kingsgate International School as Chief Marketing Officer and leads the business development, marketing, communications and admissions function of the school.

Stuart Hart

Early Years Teacher

Stuart is a graduate of the University Of Aberdeen and London Metropolitan University in the UK. He worked extensively in the UK before moving to China where he worked in Shanghai. He has taught children from early years all the way to secondary including specialist design technology programs.

Stuart is a dynamic and energetic teacher with excellent skills in language acquisition. In his spare time he enjoys cooking and exploring the sights of Malaysia.

Kirsty Jeacocks

Reception Teacher

Kirsty is a graduate from the University of South Africa. Having studied a PGCE in Foundation Phase Education, her speciality and passion lies with younger students.

She has spent the last four years teaching in China where she worked with students from Early Years to Year 3.Her time in China has given her invaluable experience.

Her goal is to create a safe and secure learning environment for children which will enable them to be themselves and develop their potential and own learning styles. She enjoys the outdoors and cannot wait to see the nature that Malaysia has to offer.

Robyn Pickles

Primary School Teacher

United Kingdom
Robyn is a graduate of Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge, in the UK where her studies specifically focused on how young children learn to write through phonics acquisition. She grew up in a small town in the north of England, worked in UK schools and then moved overseas to teach in Rome and then Malaysia .

Robyn has a strong interest in teaching children with English as an additional language and how to best support their development. In her spare time she loves to travel and explore Malaysia.

Ainslie Ryan

Primary School Teacher

Ainslie is a graduate of the University of Melbourne and Victoria University. She has been teaching for 16 years both in Australia and China with extensive experience in the early primary years. Ainslie has a strong belief in guiding children through the rigours of academic learning and making it relevant to their interest and needs.

Ainslie loves to travel and has a 21 year old daughter, Annabelle, who is currently studying at university.

Olivia Hoar

Olivia is a graduate from the University of Winchester. She is originally from Oxfordshire in England but later moved to Hampshire in order to complete her teaching degree and stayed there for another three years to work in a Primary School as a Year 3 and 4 teacher, as well as Head of PE and Outdoor Learning. Liv combined her love of teaching and travelling in 2017 when she relocated to Shanghai, China and worked as a Year 2 teacher and Cohort Leader.

Olivia believes that all children should understand their full potential and build confidence to reach it. Her hobbies include craft based activities such as knitting, crocheting and sketching which reflects her teaching style as she believes that creativity is an important part of learning and that children learn best through practical, hands-on involvement.

Addison Bunch

Ms. Bunch is a graduate of Grand Canyon University with a master's in reading intervention.  Her global mindset drives her skills of differentiation and passion for creating individualised learning for all. 

 She has taught in a village in Uganda and science lessons to children in Cambodia. Furthermore,  Ms. Bunch has five years of experience teaching children of all ages and has led data-driven instruction to instill adequate growth for all learners.  

She enjoys meeting the needs of children holistically and implementing each child’s interests throughout her lessons.  Ms. Bunch is thrilled at the opportunity to work within an innovative environment at Kingsgate International School.

Greg Woloszyn

Greg is a graduate from the University of Alberta, Canada with a bachelor’s Degree in Education. After graduating he moved to England to teach primary school and then moved to Vietnam to continue his career. He believes in a student centered approach where each child is engaged, can take risks and develops a love for learning. Greg has a background in physical education and enjoys playing football, running and spending time outdoors, which he hopes to bring to Kingsgate International School.

Nick Hindle

Nick has graduated from the University of Buckingham with a PGCE in Primary Teaching, along with completing a BA (Hons) Degree in Sports coaching from the University of Central Lancashire.

 Nick has a passion for teaching and helping children to reach their potential. Alongside teaching, Nick has ten years of sports coaching experience, teaching in various schools and working for, and alongside, former international sports players.

He has an interest in travelling to new places and experiencing new cultures which forms part of his enthusiasm to grow as a teacher and a person. Nick is looking forward to starting his journey with the Kingsgate community and is looking forward to the new school year.

David (Di) is a graduate of Swansea University and the University of Wales Trinity Saint David, UK. He is a very experienced Mathematics teacher of IGCSE and A Levels who is well regarded for his ability to maximise student achievement.

David is our school secondary coordinator and Cambridge Examinations Officer. David is a passionate golfer who also enjoys a range of sports as well as travel.

Rebecca Cannon

Rebecca is a graduate of Edith Cowan University and the Western Australian University, Australia. She is an experienced and passionate teacher with extensive experience teaching all areas of science, who believes strongly in children’s ability to learn and enjoy science. Her mission as an educator, of tomorrow’s leaders, is to encourage this enjoyment through every means possible including expecting personal bests and developing children holistically.

Rebecca has worked with the Australian, the International Baccalaureate and the UK curriculums and has developed exceptional strengths in the delivery of IGCSE science programs..

Louise Russell

Louise is a graduate of the University of Portsmouth and holds two post graduate degrees. A former international school student herself, she not only brings a passion for computing and modern technologies to Kingsgate, but also her experiences as a parent, educator and student in both British and international settings.

 Prior to qualifying as a teacher, Louise has worked in industry as a photographer, web and graphic designer, and in her youth rode and trained racehorses, and worked as a jillaroo in Australia.

A keen programmer, Louise is an advocate for the futureproofing of the next generation of technology users and developers through the provision of an eclectic curriculum of work, international competitions and extra-curricular activities and qualifications. A passionate and proactive environmentalist and conservationist, Louise is very keen to establish coding clubs as well as environmental sustainability projects with the students of Kingsgate.

Louise is very much looking forward to exploring Malaysia and learning much about Malay language, art, history, culture and traditions.  She is delighted to have the opportunity to work at Kingsgate International School and can not wait to start.

Antony Grigson

Antony is a graduate of Wellington College of Education, New Zealand. He has been a teacher for over 20 years starting in his home country of New Zealand before enjoying teaching experiences in Kazakhstan, Thailand, Singapore, and the United Arab Emirates. He enjoys hiking, writing plays, promoting the ethical treatment and well being of domestic and wild animals, amateur filmmaking, LEGO building, and is enthusiastic supporter of the All Blacks rugby team. Antony and his son Matthew are excited about experiencing life in Malaysia and exploring all the many things it has to offer.

Aileen Murphy

Aileen is a graduate of The University of Bristol and London South Bank University in the UK. She has a BA in journalism and a PGCE in secondary English. Aileen has extensive experience teaching at secondary schools across the UK and Vietnam. 

As an English teacher, she feels passionate about inspiring students to read for pleasure and to enjoy learning. Outside of the classroom, she has a keen interest in drawing, yoga and travel. Aileen is very excited to begin teaching at Kingsgate and is looking forward to sharing her love of literature with her students.

Aleena George

Aleena is a graduate of Coventry University and The University of Reading, UK.  She is an experienced teacher of Science with an extensive understanding of the Science curriculum across KS3, GCSE and A Levels.  Aleena strongly believes that educators can make a lasting impact on the youth which pushes her to inspire students to strive not only for academic excellence but also resilience and empathy and warmth.  

Aleena has taught in the UK since qualifying and is excited to increase her global awareness and accelerate her professional development as she embarks on her new adventure at Kingsgate.  She is keen traveler and loves to explore a new country through hikes and food.  She loves being in nature and promotes a sustainable lifestyle and is keen to develop an eco-garden at Kingsgate.

John Lamont

Music & Drama Teacher

United Kingdom

John is a graduate of The University of Wales Trinity St David. Studying a BA in Acting, he has extensive knowledge of Drama as well as a passion for music and musical theatre. Additionally, he is an experienced Jiu-Jitsu instructor with nearly 15 years of experience. With a passion for teaching, John is very excited to work at Kingsgate and is eager to establish a school choir and Jiu-Jitsu club.
