Shanna Parry
Senior Managing Partner
In 2018 and 2019 Shanna was identified as top 30 in the Education category for Global Gurus among some of the worlds leading Education experts including Sir Ken Robinson, Eric Jensen, John Hattie and Robert J Marzano. Shanna continues to travel extensively to meet the demands for her consulting expertise in administrative and teacher development, curriculum writing and language programs. Shanna has consistently delivered exceptional results for increasing and improving student achievement in all key areas, including language development, reading proficiency and writing skills. In her role as Managing Partner of GSE and Director of Kingsgate International School, she plays a key role in the day-to-day operations of the school as well as pioneering creative models for other international schools and providing groundbreaking training methods for directors, administrators, teachers, and students.

David John
Principal
David is from Wales and is the Principal of Kingsgate International School Malaysia.
He is a graduate of Swansea University and the University of Wales Trinity Saint David in the UK. A very experienced Mathematics teacher for IGCSE and A-Levels, he is also well regarded for his ability to maximise student achievement.
In his free time, he is also a passionate golfer who also enjoys a range of other sports as well as travel

Jessica
Early Years Teacher

Jessica graduated from the University of Greenwich, United Kingdom with a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Early Years Education. She has been involved with Early Years education for the past 9 years.
She has a true passion for working with our youngest learners and thrives on helping each child progress in all areas of their development — academic, social, language, arts, crafts, and motor skills. She strives to create a community of learners that nurtures this growth in a positive and fun environment. A proponent of growth mindset, Jessica hopes to be a positive influence for young minds so that they grow to become respectful, selfless, kind, and successful people.
On the personal side, she has a keen interest in traveling, reading books and listening to music.

Yuvanesvari Kalimuthu

Yuva graduated from Unitar International University with a Bachelors of Education in Early Childhood (Hons). She has 7 years of teaching in Early Years Education which allowed her to develop a deep understanding of child development milestones and the importance of fostering curiosity and creativity in young minds.


Robyn Pickles
Primary Teacher
Robyn has a strong interest in teaching children with English as an additional language and how to best support their development. In her spare time she loves to travel and explore Malaysia.

Iain Humphrey
Primary Teacher

Mr Humphrey graduated from the University of Bath and gained his teaching qualification from the University of Nottingham. He taught in the UK for 8 years after that before spending the last 5 years of his teaching career here in Malaysia.
He is a staunch advocate of the importance of pastoral care within a child’s learning which has really driven his own teaching values and has become his passion.
On the personal side, he is a big health and a sports fanatic and used to be a full-time athlete. He competed in the sport of Bob Skeleton and was extremely dedicated to his sport. He was ranked 5th in the country in his sport and competed around the world for Great Britain.

Hannah James
Primary Teacher

Hannah studied English literature at the University of Plymouth. After graduating she spent some time working and travelling around Australia and New Zealand and it was in Australia, whilst working as an au pair, that she developed an interest in education. Upon her return to the United Kingdom, she attended the University of the West of England where she did her PGCE in Primary Education.
Hannah has a passion for educating the whole child and believes in instilling a strong sense of self and confidence in her students. She strives to create a classroom where children feel safe, valued and challenged. Her favourite subject to teach is English and she has a vast knowledge of current children’s literature to ensure that her students are reading a wide variety of texts. Hannah is a keen singer and has enjoyed running the choir at her previous school in the UK.
This is Hannah’s first position in an international school having previously taught in the UK for the past seven years. Outside of the classroom Hannah enjoys reading, cooking and is looking forward to exploring Malaysia with her young family.

Mike Dziobkowski

Mike graduated from the University College of Social Sciences in Częstochowa, Poland with a master’s degree in Early Childhood Education. He taught in China for 4 years before moving to Malaysia in 2016. With experience in IB schools, he strongly supports using play and inquiry-based learning in the classroom.
Beyond teaching, Mr. Mike is a martial arts instructor who’s enthusiastic about fostering a healthy lifestyle and encouraging movement.
In his free time he loves playing tabletop games and pursuing personal development programs.

Shane Wiggle
Primary Teacher
South Africa
Shane hails from South Africa, the country well known for “Tata” Mandela, its beautiful oceans, mountains, weather and of course, its status as World Rugby Champions!
Like most other people in South Africa, She really enjoys outdoor activities. She is a keen runner, tennis player and is a favourite of the sport, field hockey where she represented her country at the World Ladies Masters Hockey tournament last year.
Her teaching career spans over 30 years with most of it being in South Africa and a further five years in an international school in Angola.

Terry Barrett
Secondary School Teacher

Terry studied at the University of Essex, University of Keele and University of Reading in the UK. He is an extremely qualified teacher in Mathematics with a BA Degree in mathematics, Postgraduate Diploma in Sociology and PGCE in secondary mathematics. His extensive teaching experience in various parts of the world includes working with all Cambridge secondary maths courses and other widely recognised international programmes.
In his teaching, Terry endeavours to instill an in-depth understanding of mathematical principles and develop higher-order problem solving skills. Meanwhile, outside of school, he likes hiking and travelling.
Terry is enthusiastic to be part of a growing and evolving school like Kingsgate.

Mariem Werchefeni
Secondary English and Global Perspectives teacher

Mariem is an accomplished Fulbright scholar who has taught at City University of New York, USA. She has BA in English Linguistics, Literature and Civilization and has been working for 13 years around the world.
She teachers IGCSE English and Global perspectives for Y 9,10 & 11 and believes in student-centered teaching methods to enhance her students’ critical thinking and skills.
She is a passionate teacher who is always eager to learn more and she never gives up on her students until they succeed. She is experienced as she taught various age groups at schools , universities and international companies around the world. Mariem believes that education and leadership is the key towards creating a better future for the generations to come.
She also speaks 5 languages has even worked as a translator and interpreter with BBC World News besides stints as a trainer with the European Youth Council and international NGOs where she conducted workshops and educational seminars about global issues in multiple countries.
She is wholeheartedly passionate about traveling solo and has visited 32 countries that enabled her to become more open-minded and aware of diverse cultures and traditions around the globe. She believes that travelling the world is one of the most powerful educational experiences. She also likes teaching yoga, dancing and swimming.
